Board of Cosmetology (RG 108).
Documentation used to compile the minutes of monthly meetings of the Board of Cosmetology, including agendas, correspondence, salon inspection reports, complaint letters, and other papers. Most of the files in this series correspond to dates of board meetings, and each month’s file typically contains a copy of the minutes of the prior month’s board meeting. Some of the files are of a topical nature, however, and the series also contains older files of miscellaneous correspondence and other papers of the board dating back to 1961.
ACCESS NOTE Access to this series is limited due to the inclusion of Social Security numbers, complaint letters and other privacy-sensitive information. For researchers interested in viewing these files there are two options: 1) a file which contains no restricted information will be made available to the researcher, or 2) a file with redacted information will be made available to the researcher. In either case, the file(s) will have to be screened by an archivist first, so there will be a waiting period, the length of which will depend upon staff availability and the number of files requested. Therefore, researchers are strongly encouraged to contact the Archives in writing before undertaking any research into these records. |
