      Press releases, public announcements, newspaper clippings and other publicity materials pertaining to the Mississippi Department of Archives and History. Also included in this series are papers concerning the Department’s efforts, in conjunction with the Mississippi Historical Society, to commemorate the sesquicentennial of Mississippi statehood in 1967. The sesquicentennial materials include meeting agendas, minutes, correspondence, and a script for an educational film titled “Mississippi – Prologue to Statehood.”
