      Photographs taken and maintained by the Mississippi Game and Fish Commission. There are approximately 1900 prints and 800 negatives, most of which were produced for the Commission’s magazine, Mississippi Game and Fish (later known as Mississippi Outdoors). They cover a wide variety of subjects, including hunting, fishing, conservation efforts, Commission members and employees, museum and fair exhibits, parades and pageants, public lakes, and law enforcement. The bulk of the photos date from the 1950s, though there are a few undated items from the early twentieth century, and still more from the 1930s and 1940s. Photographs are grouped together in folders by subject, and the folders are arranged alphabetically.
