Project files for the Natchez Trace Parkway in Mississippi including appraisal reports, account files, correspondence, deeds, land parcels, maps, subject files, and index files to land acquired for right of way. Land parcel files are arranged numerically within each county or county group. Map files are arranged by project number and by size. All other files are arranged alphabetically within each county or county group. Maps are located within many individual files as well as in a separate group by project number.

Researcher's Note
Initial research should be done in the county files and with map boxes 8959 and 9278. If the particular area is not covered, then research can be expanded to map boxes 8958 and 9280, before progressing to map box 9282 and the map tubes (8931 through 8934 and 9284). Map boxes 9279, 9281, and 9283 are large and heavy, requiring a two-person lift to move, so should be used only when no other information is available.
