      Index cards of historic homes and sites in Mississippi. The cards are undated but appear to be connected to the Federal Writers’ Project (FWP) Guide Book Series, the research for which was conducted in Mississippi between 1936-1939. The historic home cards are filed under number 622. A review of FWP administrative files suggests that 622 was the project code for the historic buildings segment of the FWP guidebook research. The cards are arranged alphabetically by county then name of house. The amount of information on each building varies, but most cards contain the following: name of house, date of construction, owner, location, a brief description, and points of interest.
