      Requests for proposals (RFPs) and bid specifications issued by the Mississippi Department for Information Technology Services (and its predecessor, the Central Data Processing Authority) in response to agencies’ requests for computer systems equipment. An RFP is an invitation to appropriate vendors to submit bids for the specified equipment or system, and it states the equipment and maintenance specifications. RFPs also usually require the vendor to submit in their responding bids such information as lease price, monthly maintenance charge, delivery time, contractual requirements, installation cost, and installation time. Arrangement is by RFP number.
      In addition to the RFPs, the series includes a log book which lists the RFP number, description, requesting agency, and dates of the bids and advertisements.
