      General correspondence between staff members of the Mississippi State Tuberculosis Sanitorium and various patients, colleagues, businesses, and state officials. The original folder titles and arrangement of the files have been retained. Arrangement is generally chronological, and alphabetical by name of correspondent therein. However, some correspondence related to particular topics, or with certain important individuals, state agencies or companies, is foldered separately. Correspondence of Superintendent Dr. Henry Boswell is scattered throughout the collection, primarily filed under the letter “B” but also in the miscellaneous correspondence and especially in the 1949-1953 materials, which solely consist of incoming and outgoing letters of Dr. Boswell.
