      Video and audio tapes and one DVD of television programs produced by Mississippi Educational Television. The audiotapes are reel-to-reel; the videotapes are either Umatic broadcast quality or standard VHS. The audio tapes contain sound tracks of episodes of the two television series “FYI” and “Newsmaker.” The DVD contains a special two-part Writers episode featuring footage of Eudora Welty reading three short stories and two excerpts from the 1970s. Most of these programs were produced in the 1970s and were re-recorded by the Department of Archives and History in the early 1980s. See the following lists for program titles, dates, and locations.

ACCESS NOTE

The audio and video cassettes are not available to the public in their current formats. Arrangements must be made with an Image and Sound Archivist for duplication of these materials before they may be used. The DVD may be requested by permission.
