Series 1750: Appalachian Development Project Files. 1972-1992.

The Division of Appalachian Development managed the state's portion of the Federal Appalachian Regional Commission program. These project files may include the following types of material: pre-applications, applications, approvals of projects, and follow-on and supplemental documentation. Fiscal and status reports and other correspondence are located with Series 1751 (Office Files). Although the dates for this series are 1972 - 1992, the actual projects are for the years 1980 - 1987. Arrangement is by region wide state projects, planning district wide projects, and then county projects, with projects filed alphabetically within each area.

These materials were processed in two different batches, resulting in two different alphabetical runs. Therefore it may be necessary to retrieve two or more boxes to view all the documents for a particualr project, planning district, or county.
