Copies of U.S. Civil Service Commission records forwarded to the Mississippi Attorney General’s office. The Certified Eligibility Lists were forwarded to the Mississippi AG “pursuant to the provisions of Section 7 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 “(See letter accompanying each list). Changes to the eligibility lists (deletions and corrections) were also forwarded to the AG office, often using “CSC Form 842.” Arrangement is by county, but not all counties are represented in these lists.
