Correspondence, primarily from the Division of State Aid Road Construction, including notices announcing proposed Federal and state aid construction projects and inviting all interested persons desiring a public hearing to write for such. The Division of State Aid Road Construction also notified the State Office of Federal-State Programs whenever they intended to seek highway construction aid from the Federal Highway Administration. The miscellaneous correspondence consists of a letter to the US Forest Supervisor on Appalachian highway projects proposed for construction and a letter to the Director of the Department of Archives and History transmitting a map showing the Fiscal Year 1971 and 1972 proposed highway projects.
