Records maintained by Lieutenant Horace B. Quimby, Quartermaster of the U. S. Army garrison on Ship Island. Included are abstracts, lists, monthly
reports and returns, receipt rolls, requisitions, and vouchers pertaining to the procurement and distribution of quartermaster’s stores. Of particular interest is a clothing receipt roll containing the names of military prisoners confined at the garrison on December 28, 1867. Within each box, the arrangement is alphabetical.
