Files on gaming/gambling and transportation issues. The gaming files contain information on casino gambling, charitable gaming, compulsive gambling, tribal compacts re: gaming, Mississippi Gaming Commission documents, gaming statistics (revenue, employment figures, etc.), hurricane standard operating procedures for casinos, and other related subjects.
The transportation files are divided into two subgroups: highways and railroads. The highway files include information on the Great River Bridge, Interstate 69, Federal transportation legislation, and Mississippi’s highway system in general. The railroad files include U.S. Surface Transportation Board documents, a feasibility study for a Gulf Coast High Speed Rail Corridor, and information on a proposed maglev system for Mississippi.
