Files, reference materials, correspondence, public relations information, and publications prepared and received by the Census Liaison office in the governor's office. The office had responsibility for publicizing the 2000 census throughout the state and organizing groups within counties and municipalities to insure the most complete count possible in the census. Mississippi State University worked closely with the census office in developing campaigns to reach many groups that had previously been undercounted. Also included are statistical charts and maps of partnership and statistical areas in the state as well as television and radio spots publicizing the census.
