Yellow Creek Watershed Authority (RG 105)

Files contain a variety of material pertaining to the daily operations of the authority. The annual, biennial, and quarterly reports contain brief summaries of the projects, activities, and finances of the authority. Early reports summarize the various agricultural and home economy projects, while later reports reflect the authority.s shift in emphasis to assisting local governments to cope with growth pressures amid dwindling public resources and encouraging local governments to make the area more competitive in taking advantage of socioeconomic growth opportunities. Also included are copies of legislative bills regarding the authority.s appropriations and attorney general legal opinions on those bills; resolutions of the three county boards of supervisors petitioning the state legislature to issue bonds and levy taxes to aid the funding of the authority; minutes of the various committees of the authority and of organizations in which the authority was a member; copies of various interlocal agreements; photocopies of newspaper clippings pertaining to the funding and activities of the authority; contracts of agreements between the authority and the other agencies; reports and publications relating to the operation of the authority and its programs; a brief history of the authority from 1958 to 1981; and correspondence between the authority and state and federal officials reflecting their interaction and cooperation.
