Case files for cases heard by the original Supreme Court of Mississippi (which existed from approximately 1817-1832). Files typically contain such items as briefs, transcripts of the court proceedings, court costs lists, sheriff.s summonses, copies of deeds and wills, and so forth. For most cases the file will contain only some of the above-listed items.

Please note: This collection of cases is very scattered and incomplete. The few case numbers listed are not necessarily correct, while most of these cases have no distinguishable number, and have been assigned an unnumbered designation
