      Office files of the Executive Director (State Veterinarian) from the tenures of Dr. H. F. McCrory, (1971-1990), Dr. Frank Rogers, (1990-1998), and Dr. James A. Watson, (1998- present). Included are subject files containing correspondence and reference materials from various state and federal agencies, organizations, and other states working with the Vet Lab and Board of Animal Health on various animal health matters along with a number of administrative files containing calendars, reports, phone logs, travel logs, etc.

      Files from Dr. McCrory's tenure are arranged alphabetically by subject in two spans of years, 1949-1980 and 1981-1989. Only a small amount of reference material in the first span (1949-1980) pre-dates 1971, with the bulk of the material being 1971-1980. Dr. Rogers' files are arranged by year, and therein alphabetically by subject, with some overlap where files were carried over into the following year. Dr. Watson’s files are arranged alphabetically by subject, 1998-2003. Spanning the tenures of more than one Director are a collection of stockyard inspection files, arranged alphabetically by the name of the stockyard from 1983 to 2001, and a collection of quarterly brucellosis reports from 1988 to 2000.
