Files containing legal documents, reference documents, and correspondence from the office of the attorneys for the Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD). Included are such items as documents referring to various bond projects considered and entered into by the Mississippi Major Economic Impact Authority (MEIA); dealings with various private development groups and federal agencies; legal documents and correspondence regarding the Hinds v. Heidel case appealing merger of the Hinds County Service Delivery Area into the Central Mississippi Service Delivery Area under the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA); reference copies of meeting minutes of the Mississippi Home Corporation, JTPA, MEIA and MECD, and MS University Research Authority boards.
