One bound volume containing a record of surgical operations performed at the East Mississippi State Hospital in Meridian between November 3, 1937, and November 20, 1946. Entries list the name of patient, date of operation, type of operation, and names of surgical team members. Some entries are longer and contain more information, such as the time begun and ended, type of anesthesia, pre- and post-operative diagnoses, and findings. Entries are, in general, arranged chronologically.
