- Public Welfare Administration in Mississippi. Ca. 1937. Produced by the Mississippi State Planning Commission, this paper provides a historical and statistical overview of welfare services in Mississippi from the early 19th Century to the early 1930s. Detailed information on charity hospitals and other state health facilities, special education institutions, the state penitentiary and state farms, and private welfare agencies (such as orphanages) may be found here.
- Study of women employed by the WPA in Mississippi [title unknown]. Ca. 1937. The title page is missing from this 64-page study of Mississippi women with dependent children employed by the WPA. A wealth of social data on these women and their families is contained in the report.
- A Study of 173 Special Aid to Dependent Children Cases. Ca. 1958. A 43-page report of the findings of this study, which examined special Aid to Dependent Children cases in 68 counties of Mississippi.
- Some Important Medical Factors in the Administration of a Program of Permanent and Total Disability Assistance. 1951. Prepared by the U.S. Bureau of Public Assistance, this paper’s purpose, as defined in its opening paragraph, is “to assist physicians and social workers... who have some administrative responsibility from a medical standpoint, in connection with the program of permanent and total disability assistance.”
- Region VI Joint Public Assistance – Vocational Rehabilitation Conference on Disability, Atlanta, Georgia, Dec. 3, 4, and 5, 1952. An 11-page report on the conference.
- Property and Income Provisions in State Plans. 1950. Compiled by the U.S. Bureau of Public Assistance, this is a list of property and income provisions in public assistance plans for each of the 50 states in the U.S.
