Series 2372: Accounts. 1817-1929.
Legislature (RG 47).

A small collection of various types of records pertaining to the financial accounts of the Legislature, almost all of which are dated in the 1800s with a few records dated as late as 1929. Records are comprised of both loose papers and bound ledgers or account books. Loose papers are generally claims and receipts made for individual or group expenditures or service remuneration. Ledgers typically contain accounts of members of the Legislature – pay and salary, mileage and per diem expenses, and/or accounts for state agencies and legislative committees. Note: Claims were routed through the Claims Committee for approval and committee notations are often included on the claim itself.
