Auditor (RG 29)
Audit reports for non-appropriated monies handled by the circuit court district attorney offices. Initially (through 1997) the audits were primarily of the district attorney (DA) bad or worthless check unit, pursuant to Miss. Code, 97-19-77(4). Several other DA units, such as Economic Crime units and Pre-Trial Diversion units were audited as well. Beginning in 1997, all non-appropriated monies functions of the DA offices were included in the audits.
Audits are arranged chronologically by fiscal year and then numerically by circuit court district for each fiscal year. Not all DA offices are represented. All reports are the work of local accounting firms who file a copy with the Auditor. Where a range of district numbers is given, all districts within that range are included.
