      Files maintained by the Communications Office concerning various special events for which Governor Musgrove was called upon to make a public appearance or public announcement. Such events included speeches, conferences, press announcements, bill signings, rallies, “Capitol for a Day” celebrations, state crises, State of the State addresses, grand openings of businesses or industrial plants, appointments of state officials, and so forth. Files vary in content, but typically include materials such as event sheets ( a brief summary of the event and what the Governor was expected to do for it), correspondence, press releases, notes, news clippings, brochures, promotional items, and legislation. Many of Governor Musgrove’s speeches are included in these files. Arrangement is chronological.
