Files concerning appointments made by Governor Musgrove to many state commissions, councils, boards, committees, port authorities, task forces and other such groups. Appointments were for varying terms, and were made as directed by law (one-time appointments, yearly appointments, multi-year appointments). Materials in the files include correspondence, resumes, Ethics Commission statements of economic interest, background checks, photographs and letters of recommendation. Arrangement is alphabetical by name of agency, commission, board, etc.
A small number of office files are also included in this series, containing such materials as Senate confirmations pending, job requests, correspondence, memos, phone logs, etc. The files were maintained by the Boards and Commissions Office, which handled gubernatorial appointments made during Musgrove’s term. In addition, a separate file of appointment letters from the Governor to the Secretary of State may also be found in this series.

For researchers interested in viewing these files, there are two options: 1) a file which contains no restricted information will be made available to the researcher, or 2) a file with redacted information will be made available to the researcher.
