      Briefing books given to members of Mississippi trade delegations to foreign nations, including travel itineraries, lists of delegation members, company reports, trade statistics, information about foreign-owned business operations in Mississippi, and general background information on countries visited. Such delegations typically consisted of the Governor, the First Lady, and various Department of Economic and Community Development/Mississippi Development Authority officials. These missions to other nations were intended to promote exports of Mississippi products and to attract foreign business investment in the state. The briefing books are arranged chronologically.
