Series 2600: Election Lawsuits. 1984-2004.
Secretary of State (RG 28). Elections Division (RG 28).

Files on election lawsuits maintained by the Elections Division staff of the Secretary of State’s Office. Most of the files concern cases actually involving the State of Mississippi in some way, though some are simply files on cases in other states. The files contain court documents, notes, correspondence, and news clippings. Most of the cases date from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s, when Dick Molpus was Mississippi’s Secretary of State. In general, arrangement is alphabetical by name of plaintiff, but some cases are so large that they have been boxed separately.
