Pay warrants for Confederate militias mustered into service during the Civil War. A total of 173 Mississippi militias are represented in these documents, with 46 of them providing total or partial company rosters. Almost all of the pay warrants date from 1861. They are arranged alphabetically by company name. A list is provided detailing: company name, captain, date, and if a roster is included.
