Photographs, transparencies, slides, and negatives depicting Mississippi state parks in the 1970s, all taken by Ken Jones during his tenure as Public Relations Officer for the Mississippi Parks Commission. Images show people using the parks, some park events (such as Family Fun Day and the Governor William Waller Youth Fishing Rodeo, both at Roosevelt State Park), and park scenery and buildings. The majority of the images depict J.P. Coleman and Roosevelt state parks, but Paul B. Johnson, Percy Quin, Lake Lowndes, Leroy Percy, Hugh White, Tishomingo, and Tombigbee state parks are also featured, among others. Images are arranged alphabetically by park name, plus miscellaneous images.
