      This series consists of files related to municipalities’ applications for permits to operate wastewater treatment facilities, most often associated with the construction of subdivisions and apartment complexes and the updating of municipal sewer lines. Permit files, which date from 1980-1985, include applications, permits, monitoring reports and correspondence. Also included are revoked permit files dating 1971-1978. Permits are most often revoked because the wastewater facility is no longer in use. Many of the files in this series contain oversize plans and specifications; these have been housed separately in oversize boxes, with separation sheets placed in each file noting the plan’s new location. Files are separated into two groups, permits and revoked permits, and are arranged alphabetically by municipality within each group.
