Four VHS video cassette recordings of television programs, three of which feature Governor Barbour, all from 2004:

  • The Learning Exchange. Air date Feb. 2, 2004. Run time 27:45. In this half-hour Mississippi Public Broadcasting program, the host speaks with Governor Barbour about his views on education.
  • C-SPAN Washington Journal. Air date Feb. 22, 2004. Run time 31:00. A call-in program with Governor Barbour, live from the 2004 National Governor’s Association meeting. The topic is the 2004 presidential election, John Kerry vs. George W. Bush.
  • This video cassette, simply labeled “MS Development Authority… Tape #04” contains recordings of two different television appearances of Governor Barbour, both from June 10, 2004. The first, on CNBC’s Squawk Box program, is an eight-minute interview with Barbour wherein he discusses tort reform in Mississippi, as well as education and economic development. The second recording is from a Fox News preview of the funeral for President Ronald Reagan in which Barbour is interviewed for about 5 ½ minutes concerning his memories of Reagan and of his time working for that administration.
  • This video cassette, labeled “Haley Barbour… Tape #02” is a report which aired on Jackson’s WLBT evening news of July 12, 2004. The story, which runs approximately four minutes, concerns education spending in Mississippi and questions whether the state’s education funds are being spent wisely. Governor Barbour does not appear in this news story, nor is his administration particularly faulted – the thrust of the news story is aimed more at the State Department of Education.
