      Minutes and support documents detailing the decisions of the Parole Board. Most minutes from Parole Board meetings list offenders’ names, inmate identification numbers, and details of the board’s decisions, such as the terms of parole or the revocation of parole, with short descriptions of the inmate’s history and the board’s reasoning. For some years, particularly in the 1980s, lists of inmates scheduled to be reviewed were kept separate from corresponding lists of final actions by the board. Thus, researchers should check every box for dates that span multiple boxes. Similarly, files from 1942-1943 include a minute book that simply records the names of cases heard by the board and a separate, indexed book that gives lengthier descriptions of each inmate’s offense, the board’s opinion, and the governor’s final decision.
