Series 2833: Health Institution Warrant Receipts. 1825-1899.

Receipt warrants for Mississippi public health institutions in the 19th century. Most relate to salary payments for officials, medical expense receipts, building repairs and expenses, or per diem receipts. Of note are the warrants for the Public Health, Vaccine Agency, and State Board of Health, which were related to efforts to fight against outbreaks of Yellow Fever in the State. The items are arranged chronologically as described below.
