      Receipts and warrants for Mississippi’s higher education institutions in the 19th century. Most relate to salary payments for officials, and also appropriations made to various colleges and universities. The Seminary Fund was an effort to use public funds to locate and establish a state university (what later became the University of Mississippi). Items are arranged chronologically as listed below.
