A collection of receipts for ex-officio services of clerks and sheriffs. These administrative services entailed: filing papers, issuing writs and subpoenas, taking recognizances, issuing bench warrants, entering pleas, entering continuances and motions, empaneling juries, and swearing witnesses. Also included are costs for stationery, books, office rent, coal, and other miscellaneous expenses for the courts.
