LIMITED ACCESS NOTE

Privacy-sensitive materials in this series must be screened before use. The nature of the privacy issue concerns financial records that have organizational and individual information, such as bank records and credit card account numbers. There are also materials in these files that are considered intellectual property and have copyright issues. To gain access to these records, an Access Request Form must be completed by the researcher. The section director will handle the access request and provide an estimated completion date. The researcher will be informed once the privacy review is complete and the records are available for use.

      This series originated with the Community Services Division. These grants provide funds for constructing or improving infrastructure in order to attract or maintain business development. The types of grants in this series are as follows:

      Development Infrastructure Program (DIP) funds are for the construction, renovation or expansion of industry, and local governments must apply for DIP funding for new or expanded industry projects based on the public infrastructure needs of the project.

      The Rural Impact Fund (RIF) Grant Program provides financial assistance for buildings (purchase, construction, or rehabilitation), water systems, transportation facilities and energy facilities. Eligible communities are those with a population of less than 30,000.

      Small Municipal & Limited Population County Grant Program (SMLPC) funds are for public infrastructure and public building improvement projects that are tied to economic development and that promote job creation and capital investment.
