      This series consists of records of social events such as teas, receptions, luncheons, dinners, and other events held at the Governor’s Mansion during the administration of Ray Mabus as Governor of the State of Mississippi from 1988 to 1992. Each event file typically contains such materials as invitations, seating charts, receipts, planning notes, menus, photographs, and guest lists. Included is also loan information in regards to some of these events being held at the Governor’s Mansion. Arrangement is chronological. At this time, only files from 1989 to 1991 are included in this series, and that information only deals with the loans. More may be added over time.
