  • A Presentation to the 1942 Mississippi Legislature. A fifteen-page typescript demonstrating why Mississippi “should invest in an aggressive advertising program” to attract new residents, tourism and industry.
  • Compilation of Property Identification Maps, Harrison County, Mississippi. [ca. 1942]. An eighteen-page typescript of working procedures for compiling property maps as part of a larger project for surveying and indexing “all real properties and real property assessments in Harrison County.” Note that this item does not actually contain such data, but is only a manual detailing how to conduct such a study.
  • Final Report of Property Identification Maps Project of Laurel, Jones County, Mississippi. January, 1942. This is a report of how much work was accomplished by project staff, not a compilation of actual property data in Laurel.
  • Mississippi. [1943]. An undated six-page typescript with factual data about the state’s area, population, educational opportunities, agricultural products, industry, mineral products, finances, and politics.
  • Advertising and Industrial Division. [ca. 1942]. Three-page typescript outlining projects undertaken by the Advertising and Industrial Division of the Mississippi Board of Development. These include answering inquiries about the state; the publication of a tourist guide, the Index of Manufacturers in Mississippi, A Soldier’s Guide to Jackson, and a 1940 census bulletin; and the division’s role as a clearing house for the provision of information about Mississippi.
  • Mississippi, Land of the Future. 1944. An eight-page, illustrated pamphlet describing the "potentialities for future industrial development" in the state.
