Series 617: Causes. 1961-1970.
Milk Commission (RG 14).

      Files containing the records of milk license violations and the legal process of license suspension or revocation and penalties under the Mississippi Milk Commission Act of 1960. The series consists of copies of the Commission’s Petition for Suspension or Revocation of License; acknowledgement of payment of a penalty in lieu of suspension; affidavits; correspondence; summonses; subpoenas; copies of pertinent rules, regulations and reports; transcripts of testimonies; finding of facts; and answers by the individual dairies to the petitions. Violations were primarily price-related but also included such actions as giving gifts to customers, failing to maintain correct records, and use of various types of equipment.
