      This series primarily consists of the publications, reports, and videos which were produced as part of the “Hurricane Relief Grant Recovery Program for Historic Preservation.” It also contains Post-Katrina FEMA reports and publications of Mississippi Historic Properties. The Historic Preservation Division of the Mississippi Department of Archives and History carried out a grant-funded project administered by the National Park Service from 2006-2013 for projects across southern Mississippi. The program’s purpose was to use funding for the implementation of preserving, stabilizing, rehabilitating, and repairing properties listed on the National Register and other eligible properties which were damaged by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Most reports in this series contained a CD of the report which have been transferred to the Electronic Services division. Some items which are legal size documents have been placed in a separate box. Arrangement is simply by box number.
      Funds were distributed across residential, commercial, and public spaces. Sub-grants were given and are detailed in the Sub-Grant Report in this series. The Final Grant Report contains a detailed description of the program as well as budget information and other related documents.
