Series 114: Coal Bids and Contracts. 1902-1913. Secretary of State (RG 28).

An assortment of bids, contracts, correspondence, and bonds for supplying coal to various state operated buildings. The buildings included: the state capitol, the Insane Asylum at Whitfield, the East Mississippi Insane Asylum, the Institute for the Blind, and the Institute for the Deaf and Dumb. The companies delivering the coal include the Morrison Coal Company of Jackson, and the Southern Coal Company of Memphis.
