Collection Summary: Typed minutes of meetings of the State Board of Election Commissioners.  The minutes date from March 1955 to September 2015; some of the un-bound minutes are incomplete.  The Board of Election Commissioners is composed of the Governor, the Secretary of State, and the Attorney General.  These commissioners certify all elections and review petitions, procedures and sample ballots of all candidates for office before the elections.  Their duties relate to general and special elections for statewide, state district, and multi-county legislative elections.
