Series 175: Soil & Recreation Area Maps. ca. 1938. Game and Fish Commission (RG 78)

A collection of handmade maps created by the Game and Fish Commission during the Great Depression. Box 11839 consists of hand-drawn (print and pencil) maps of recreational waterway areas throughout the state. Each folder is divided by county and then by location area. Each map contains the section-township-range grid. The maps in Box 11825 are hand-drawn soil classification maps (ink and colored pencil) of recreational waterway areas throughout the state. Each map is color coded to soil type and contains section-township-range information. Also included in the drawings are creeks, rivers, and lakes, as well as highways and railroads.
