Collection Summary: Proclamations issued by Governor Kirk Fordice, or in his stead, Lieutenant Governors Eddie Briggs or Ronnie Musgrove. The proclamations are legal and non-legal official announcements of state or national holidays, recognition of individuals or organizations, and various other occasions.  Included with the proclamations are rough drafts, correspondence, notes and other related materials.  Arrangement is chronological by the date the proclamation was issued and then alphabetically according to the subject of the proclamation.  Correspondence and supporting documentation are arranged chronologically then alphabetically by the correspondent or subject.
