Original and duplicate copies of a bound roster of members of the 1st and 2nd Mississippi Infantry Regiments, 1st Mississippi Artillery Regiment, and 1st Mississippi Cavalry Regiment mobilized in Jackson in the summer of 1917 for subsequent federalization and deployment to France in World War I.  Roster includes name of soldier (arranged by company or comparable organization), hometown, age, rank, church affiliation, fraternal organization membership, marital status, trade or profession, and remarks.  The roster was compiled by Chaplain (1st Lieutenant) William B. Baker, 1st Mississippi Infantry Regiment.
