Information bulletins, training activities memoranda, and meeting notices concerning the activities of the Office of the Senior Instructor, Organized Reserve Corps, Mississippi Military District and the 389th Organized Reserve (OR) Composite Group, Jackson. The Organized Reserve Corps was a component of the U. S. Army and was composed of officers and enlisted soldiers serving in organized units and as individuals. The material in this collection was received by Major William D. McCain, then director of the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, who also served as a member of the 389th OR Composite Group.
