Supplementary materials concerning a three-part report titled Communications Study – State of Mississippi, prepared by Gautney and Jones Communications, Washington, DC, in 1967.  The study, jointly sponsored by the Mississippi Research and Development Center, the Mississippi Civil Defense Council, and the U.S. Department of Defense Office of Civil Defense, included identification of the communications requirements for all agencies of Mississippi government and recommendations for effective approaches towards meeting the requirements.  This series contains a draft photocopy of the final report from June, 1967 (the actual final report was published in November of that year), project proposals from vendors, analyses of those proposals, and copies of similar studies from three other states. The published three-part Communications Study –State of Mississippi report is cataloged separately under call number 441.1:196708, with earlier published drafts cataloged as call numbers 441.1:196706 (of which a photocopy is included in this series) and 441.1:196701.
