A bound volume containing minutes of the Board of Public Contracts from 1896 to 1902. The agenda for the meetings typically revolved around discussing bids for contracts for printing materials for state agencies, such as paying The Clarion Ledger newspaper for the printing and binding of copies of the House journals, or for a pamphlet on school laws for the Dept. of Education. The state auditor, attorney general, and secretary of state all attended the public contract meetings.
