A document consisting of eight sections and several hundred pages, used as a textbook for the Human Resource Professional Course taught by State Personnel Board staff members to human resources officers of other Mississippi state agencies. The course lasted two days and covered such topics as policies, benefits, disciplinary procedures, employee appeals, and other subjects with which a state agency personnel professional would need to be familiar. The course book contains a great deal of information on the structure of the State Personnel Board and the way state employment works in Mississippi.
