Pamphlets, brochures, flyers, slides, and other such items intended to promote Mississippi as a desirable place for industrial expansion, business investment, tourism, and retirement. Most of the materials in this series were created by the Communications Division of the Department of Economic and Community Development (the agency’s public relations, marketing, and advertising branch) and by its predecessor, the Marketing Division of the Department of Economic Development. Items are grouped by topic (typically by agency division), but are otherwise arranged randomly. Also included are a number of color slides which document various businesses, industries and industrial facilities around the state. Most of the slides were made in 1982. They are arranged alphabetically by topic.
