Collection Summary: Parole certificates and rolls of paroled Confederate prisoners of war from May of 1865. The parole certificates were prepared for and signed by individual soldiers at Grenada, Jackson, and Meridian, Mississippi, and Gainesville, Alabama, while the rolls list name, rank, company, regiment and place of residence of prisoners of war surrendered at Citronelle, Alabama, and paroled at Jackson, Mississippi.
